Thermo-Fused Melamine

Our Melamine Panels are made from decorative papers that have been impregnated with melamine resin that are then thermally fused, pressed with heat until the resin liquifies, to become part of the surface of the board. When they cool these panels become very hard, scratch resistant, stain resistant and colour fast. The net result is surface properties very similar to vertical grade high pressure laminate products. 

Sherwood Shelving™ provides consistent quality by using only top grade substrates with a pine core which provides excellent machinability without the "chipout" that is normally experienced in regular melamines.
